14th International Service Management Conference in the review mirror

Friday, February 26th, 2010

pink_logoAn interesting week spent at the “14th International Service Management Conference & Exhibition” at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas is almost done!

((otrs)) as first time exhibitor was presenting OTRS::ITSM 2.0 and especially the brand new Change Management module. My colleagues Werner Siebecke, Shawn Beasley and Meric Iktu and myself were pretty impressed of the exquisite talks we had at the booth and also during the networking sessions.

Every speech I was attending was very impressive and held in a professional manner. The breakfast session held by Edward Chiles (matrix42) about building a service portal was the most exciting session I’ve taken part. Not only was Chiles showing expertise in ITIL KnowHow but also he shared his experience of numerous implementation projects and pointed out not to forget about the human factor when implementing a service portal.

The keynote of Chris Gardner who was telling his life story was very emotional and motivating at the same time.

I want to thank everybody who made the “14th International Service Management Conference & Exhibition” such a great event!

— See you next year! —
